Modern Farmhouse Maple Stairs and Rails with Iron Balusters Moorestown NJ

This Modern Farmhouse Maple Stairs and Rails with Iron Balusters in Moorestown, NJ, turned out beautifully. I wish I could have taken some pictures after everything was tidied up, but here they are, despite the chaos! Nothing was where it was supposed to be since there was work happening in multiple areas of the house at the same time. And clients moved out and moved back in, more than once, during the renovation. However, the team was great to work with—very laid-back and easygoing.

This project involved a lot of work! The stairs were in real bad shape. As per usual, the previous contractor from 20 years prior, didn't do anything correctly, to say the least, so we had to reinforce and partially rebuild all the old stairs, which took a few days. then we installed the new maple treads and painted risers. After that, we moved on to the posts and rails, taking another week or so to complete. Once the painter/stainer finished everything to match the floors, we returned to install the iron balusters, which took an additional day or two. The work extended from the basement up to the third floor.

Here are some specifics about the job: the newel posts are from the 4003 series, measuring 3 1/2" square, and we needed 20 of them. The handrail is from the 6800 series, with dimensions of 2 3/8" high and 2 5/8" wide....@ 130'. The iron balusters are satin black, measuring 1/2" wide. The styles of the iron balusters used were 16.1.34 (with 1 knuckle), 16.2.1 (straight bar), and 16.1.35 (with 2 knuckles), which we alternated throughout the installation. (280 total).

We work all over the Delaware Valley, in towns like Voorhees, Cherry Hill, Marlton, Mt Laurel, Medford, Haddonfield, Ocean City, Margate, Wildwood, and everywhere in between.

Wood Stair And Rail Installers Mullica Hill NJ

Mahogany Posts And Handrail with Painted Wood Balusters

Stair Replacement With Mahogany Treads And Painted Risers

I don't want to say this was an "easy" Wood Stair And Rail job by professional Installers in Mullica Hill NJ, but this is as close as it gets to "easy" in the stair and rail replacement world. These homeowners went on vacation and we scheduled the stair install for that week. They were super nice people and accommodating in every way. Stairs were out and new one was installed by @ noon. We then started rail install and finished it next day. We always leave the balusters out till painter is done staining and painting everything, then we come back and do the baluster install and we're done. When replacing anything, but especially stairs, it always comes down to precise measurements. If you get the measurements right, it makes the job "easier". And after 30 years of doing this, I'm always looking for ways to make my life (and the customers' life, obviously) a little easier. They went with mahogany treads and rail and posts and painted risers and stringers. I love mahogany for the look and the finish, and it's easy to work with. Some say we're easy to work with. If you need a new Wood Stair or Rail, and you're looking for some professional Installers in Mullica Hill or surrounding towns to do it the "easy" way... then give us a call at 215-694-5046 to schedule your FREE consultation.

Oversized Starting Newel Dark Stained Treads and Handrails Painted Balusters In Haddonfield NJ

Classic White Balusters And Trim

White Box Newels

Stained Treads And Handrails

Oak Stairs And Handrails

Oversized Starting Newel

Here's another example of classic style, with your Oversized Starting Newel with Dark Stained Treads and Handrails and Painted Balusters in Historic Haddonfield NJ.
This was another designer/builder who saw a picture and asked to have it brought to life. We've done a lot of work in this town over the years. Definitely one of my favorites. The small town feel is everywhere. people are nice, the properties are nice, they tell me the schools are nice, the stairs are really nice, ok, ok, I'm a little biased. But seriously, it is a classic "Small Town America" town. Access to the big city less than a half hour away.
To get this level of quality construction, you need a great team. You need a great architect, and a great builder, who brings in his best subcontractors which would include your foundation/concrete guy, framer, roofer/sider, hvac, plumbing, insulation, drywall, paint, flooring, trim, stairs and rails, kitchen, tile, electrical, audio/security, landscaping, and paving guys, to name most of the contractors needed to build your high-quality home. And a designer can really help you bring all of it together so the whole house looks "connected" for lack of a better term. So it all flows.
If you need help with any part of finding your "team" we can help you with that. Our specialty is Stairs and Rails, and in the course of 30 years in the business, we've met many of the best subcontractors in the business and would gladly give you our recommendations for whatever trade you would need if it was a small enough project that you didn't need a builder or GC for.
But if you're in need of your own Oversized Starting Newel, and you want Dark Stained Treads and Handrails with Painted Balusters and you live in Haddonfield NJ, or surrounding towns like Moorestown, Haddon Heights, Cherry Hill, Marlton, or Medford, then give Ron  a call at his cell at 215-694-5046, or shoot him an email at 45stairman@gmail.com and set up your FREE consultation and estimate and get all your questions answered.

Better Than Cable Modern Rail Installers Mt Laurel NJ

Mt Laurel Townhouse With Modern Cable Look For Half The Price

Strong Iron Tubing With Modern Hardwood Handrail

Clean Modern Lines

Round Iron Tubing More Kid-Friendly Than Cable

Round Tubing Safer Than Cable

5/8" Round Iron Tubing More Stable Than Cable

Continuous Rail From Top To Bottom

Up The Stairs And Around The Wall

A great example of today's modern look with old-world craftsmanship with "Better Than Cable", Modern Rail Installers in Mt Laurel NJ. Everybody wants to jump on the cable rail bandwagon. I always say the same thing...I'm not a big fan. But, there are alternatives to cable. Like this rail system shown here. Square posts (that are strong, and sturdy and will outlast most homes they're in), with hardwood rail, and the 5/8" round tubing that isn't so harsh on the kids (like cable) who will inevitably end up playing on, or around, the railing. You know they will, like you did when you were kids. And the tubing won't loosen up and have to get re-tightened every six months like cable. And the tubing is cheaper than the outrageous prices for cable components. This couple just had a little one and they were looking for something modern, safe, sturdy, and reasonably priced. This fit the bill perfectly. They couldn't be happier. It was nice to work with someone who appreciated all that we did. We ended up doing homeowners brother's house as well. I'll post pictures of that job in next week or so as well. So, if you need your modern rail fix, but don't want to break the bank, then cut the cable, and go with Better Than Cable Modern Rail Installers in Mt Laurel NJ, and surrounding towns like Voorhees, Medford, Shamong, Mt Laurel, Evesham, Moorestown, or Cherry Hill, then be sure to call Ron at 215-694-5046 and schedule your FREE consultation.

Sorry. I got stuck on beautiful. "You had me at..........beautiful" Alright, alright, onto the technical stuff. We used the oak 6800 "Charleston" rail with 4410 twisted 3 1/2"newel posts to match the 4415 twisted, 1 3/4" balusters. Stair is all oak with mahogany stain.
