Ron did a beautiful job replacing my railing. He was metilculous and professional, and the final result is flawless. He also fixed my creaky stairs, which used to wake the whole house when one person went up or down. Now they don't make a sound. I can't believe the difference.

Ron was also very reliable, gave a fair price, and left the house as clean as when he got here. I'd recommend him to anyone.

Ron did an excellent job! I did call him on Friday; he had showed up on Monday, did estimate, sent me the very next day and completed the job on Thursday. I would highly recommend Ron as a very high professional in his area of expertise. I and my wife are extremely satisfied with the job Ron had performed. We have already hired him to do our next stair project, in basement. Trust me, you will not be disappointed!

Ron did an awesome job on the handrail down into the basement. He called to confirm the date and time, arrived on time and cranked the work out in under a day. I would recommend Ron to anyone looking for wood working, or stair way repairs.

We made the right choice!

★★★★★

He did a great job! Ron installed a whole new banister in our 3 story home. 10 posts and 90 balusters! We had a very difficult curve at the start of the stairwell and out of all the people we have come in for an estimate, he was the only one who even suggested a way to tackle it. He made it work and did a great job!

He didn't waste time, worked very hard while he was in our home and got the job done in the timeframe he said he would and for the price he quoted.

Wood Stairs and Railings - Install or Replace

★★★★★

Knew instantly he was someone I could trust. He knew his stuff, he had samples to show me, came when he said he would in and out in 1 day. Something I did wrong was I did not understand his quote and that he would not be finishing the project as in staining, filling holes that kind of thing. This was my error not his, he did not mention in his estimate I assumed. Overall the stairs look awesome! He did a great job. I would highly recommend him.

Wood Stairs and Railings - Install or Replace

★★★★★

Without a doubt, stairs are one of the toughest carpentry jobs to tackle. Even though I have done most of the work in our new home myself, I didnt even want to attempt the complexities involved with installing rails and balusters in our home. Ron came out when he said he would, took measurements and gave recommendations. Less than two weeks later we are using a gorgeous new railing that was obviously installed by a true craftsman with years of experience. Besides the install, unlike most contractors, Ron covered all of our living room and dining room in drop clothes to protect our wood floors and furniture while working he is a true professional who cares about his work. It took him one full day to install (thats it)! If you need a new railing or repairs to an existing, I would not hesitate to contact Ron (I will be, again, in the spring for our basement rails).

Wood Stairs and Railings - Install or Replace

★★★★★

Ron was a professional in every sense of the word. He kept his appointments, returned my calls, and started work the day he promised. He didn't try to oversell me on something I didn't need or want. His original estimate for the length of the project was 2 days; he finished it in 1 day. He started at 8AM, took an hour for lunch, and finished at 5PM the same day. The quality of the workmanship was excellent. I would highly recommend him.

Ron did a custom stair railing for my wife & I at our beach house. His work was meticulous and we always get compliments about the finished product. Ron also did a custom railing for me at my business, I was very happy with how that turned out and that's why I asked him to do the project at our home. I wouldn't hesitate to recomend Ron.

WOW!!! Im giving Ron 5 starz because he deserves it.. He was very professional and respectful... He treated my home as if I lived in a million dollar mansion... And can't forget to mention that during the remodel my wife and I just had a baby he was very concerned about my banister being up to code for the saftey of my daughter when she started walking and he had no problems working around my daughter nap schedule... Thanks again Ron would definitely hire again!

We were looking for someone to replace the railing in our hallway and basement. My neighbor's son read Ron's blog and recommended him. He did a great job and is very knowledgable about his craft. His price was very reasonable. He completed the job in less than a week. I would definately recommend Ron.

Ron did a great job with our stair railing. He has a lot of experience, and was very helpful with design choices. He also was very professional and respected our home when he worked here. He and the man helping him were not only as quiet as they could be, but they cleaned up afterword. Ron made sure I was happy with the progress and asked for my input before making any big decisions. He was great and made a great new railing for us! He also recommended someone great to stain the railing for us, which was excellent.

Prior to hiring Ron Hartman, we were considering two other contractors after receiving their bids. However, we were not convinced of their expertise with renovating our 38 yr old staircase. We tried one more contractor, Ron Hartman, before making a final decision. What a delightful surprise! Ron knew exactly the best approach for the project, which was to install a brand new staircase. Ron is extremely knowledgeable, experienced and detail oriented. Outstanding work and a pleasure to have work in our home. What a find!
