Oversized Starting Newel Dark Stained Treads and Handrails Painted Balusters In Haddonfield NJ

Classic White Balusters And Trim

White Box Newels

Stained Treads And Handrails

Oak Stairs And Handrails

Oversized Starting Newel

Here's another example of classic style, with your Oversized Starting Newel with Dark Stained Treads and Handrails and Painted Balusters in Historic Haddonfield NJ.
This was another designer/builder who saw a picture and asked to have it brought to life. We've done a lot of work in this town over the years. Definitely one of my favorites. The small town feel is everywhere. people are nice, the properties are nice, they tell me the schools are nice, the stairs are really nice, ok, ok, I'm a little biased. But seriously, it is a classic "Small Town America" town. Access to the big city less than a half hour away.
To get this level of quality construction, you need a great team. You need a great architect, and a great builder, who brings in his best subcontractors which would include your foundation/concrete guy, framer, roofer/sider, hvac, plumbing, insulation, drywall, paint, flooring, trim, stairs and rails, kitchen, tile, electrical, audio/security, landscaping, and paving guys, to name most of the contractors needed to build your high-quality home. And a designer can really help you bring all of it together so the whole house looks "connected" for lack of a better term. So it all flows.
If you need help with any part of finding your "team" we can help you with that. Our specialty is Stairs and Rails, and in the course of 30 years in the business, we've met many of the best subcontractors in the business and would gladly give you our recommendations for whatever trade you would need if it was a small enough project that you didn't need a builder or GC for.
But if you're in need of your own Oversized Starting Newel, and you want Dark Stained Treads and Handrails with Painted Balusters and you live in Haddonfield NJ, or surrounding towns like Moorestown, Haddon Heights, Cherry Hill, Marlton, or Medford, then give Ron  a call at his cell at 215-694-5046, or shoot him an email at 45stairman@gmail.com and set up your FREE consultation and estimate and get all your questions answered.

New Construction Shore House Custom Stairs Box Newels and Handrails Ventnor NJ

Pictured is a New Construction Shore House project with Custom Stairs, Box Newels and Handrails in Ventnor NJ. This stair and rail was for a designer/builder in Ventnor who was building her own house. She saw a picture online and said “This is what I want”. So, that’s what she got. Classic look with stained treads and handrail and painted posts and risers and trim. I wish I could show rest of house, because she did a phenomenal job. I must say most, if not all designers are worth their salt when it comes to the wow factor. You can definitely tell when  home has been professionally decorated, versus one that‘s been done by homeowners
Classic Painted Box Newels And Balusters

Stained Hardwood Stairs And Handrails In Custom Ventnor Shore House

6 Bedrooms 7 bathrooms would be the perfect big family home or second home right on the beach in Ventnor. Lots of posts. lots of rails, lots of balusters .Lots of room for the family and friends. A pool out back adds to the fun. Nothing quite like living at the shore. For those who love the sea, surf, sand, boardwalk, fishing, sailing/boating, etc, this is the perfect vacation home or could be your main residence. If you're building a custom home give us a call, preferably before you need us. Meaning, the more notice we have the better. Many builders wait until they need the stairs and then start looking for a solution. Giving us a little more time, always helps. We have to bring in the lumber, work your stair into our shop's schedule, get it built, and get it delivered in a timely manner. All those steps take time. And the more time we have the better. There's nothing worse than getting the call from the frantic builder, who says that "We need stairs tomorrow". Sometimes we have to say "We'd love to help you, but we have customers who are expecting their stairs to be built today, and they called us in a timely manner, and we don't want to keep them waiting because you waited until the last minute to order stairs". We can usually move schedule around a bit and do what we can, but, please call ahead, and give us a little notice. If you're building  your New Construction Shore House or a  customer's dream home and you need Custom Stairs, Box Newels, and Handrails in Ventnor NJ, and surrounding towns like Margate, Longport, Ocean City, Atlantic City, or Brigantine, then give us a call at 215-694-5046, or send an email to 45stairman@gmail.com to schedule your FREE consultation with Ron, who's been solving stair and handrail issues for builders and homeowners for almost 30 years.

Stair Manufacturer And Iron Baluster Installers In Medford NJ

Cherry Stained Hardwood Stairs
Hammered "S" Balusters

Handrail "Over The Post" Style

Complete Stair Replacement

Old Stairs Removed And New Stair Installed In Less Than Four Hours
If you're looking for the best Stair Manufacturer And Iron Baluster Installers in and around Medford NJ, then you're in the right place. I don't want to say this job was easy, but everything went so perfectly, it was amazing. I mean, the measurements always have to be spot on, but this house needed very little trimming or cutting of existing walls, or framing, or drywall. The stair has to be built exactly to site conditions to ensure it looking better than it did when house was brand-new, (which was not done properly, and is what we're here to fix). If you're looking to by-pass the builder/general contractor, and deal direct with the contractor doing the actual work, (and save 20%-50%), then give Ron a call on his personal cell phone at 215-694-5046 and ask him any questions you may have about your existing stair and handrail issues. If you are a general contractor, or home builder, we will work with you, if you work like us and treat homeowners like you would want to be treated, and always do the job right the first time, and have very high standards. We have a very small group of contractors/builders that we'll work with. Most are clowns, and are like the builder who built your house the first time, which is to say very badly, very crookedly, very cheaply, very shabbily, very shoddily....not sure if those are real words, lol. You can also email me photos of existing conditions to help speed up the consultation process ....at 45stairman@gmail.com. At Hartman Stairs and Rails, we believe we're the best Stair Manufacturer and Iron Baluster Installers in and around Medford NJ, and surrounding towns like Voorhees, Cherry Hill, Moorestown, Medford Lakes, and Haddonfield.

Iron Balusters Stairs and Handrail Remodel in Moorestown NJ

New Iron Balusters and Hardwood Stairs and Handrail Remodel in Moorestown NJ. This was a real nice couple who both worked during the day and gave us access to the house for duration of the project. Can I say something here? I don't know why, but it seems like every job that is scheduled like that, always goes smoothly. Not saying others don't go smoothly, but maybe there's less pressure? or drama? and we can concentrate fully on task at hand instead of worrying about cats or dogs or children being near or around all the tools and open doors and such, and not having to juggle cars in the driveway daily.  I'm not complaining, but it is nice whenever there are less things to worry about.  So, if you need stair and rail work done, and you have a vacation scheduled in the near future, many folks schedule them at same time, to make life easier for them and us. And they come home to a brand new foyer/stair/rail, and they didn't have to live with the daily disruption of their life. Anyway, they couldn't be happier, after replacing the floors, and remodeling their master bath, we came in and removed the builder grade pine stairs that were set really badly out of level, and replaced them with a brand new custom fit stair built correctly, and installed correctly. We followed with the posts and rail and nosing, followed by the stainer/painter, and we came back and installed the iron balusters. So if you're living with that original builder grade stair that you hate, be sure to give Ron  a call at 215-694-5046 and schedule your FREE appointment, or send him some pics of your current foyer/stair to his email at 45stairman@gmail.com, and he can often give you a very close approximate number from that. So, if you want your very own New Iron Balusters and hardwood Stairs and Handrail Remodel and you live in Moorestown NJ, or surrounding towns like Haddonfield, Mt Laurel, Medford, or Marlton, call today.

How To Replace Painted Wood Balusters With Iron Balusters Blue Bell PA

How To Replace Painted Wood Balusters With Iron Balusters in Blue Bell PA. Tip #1.Call your local professional. Ok here goes a little rant I'm going to apologize in advance as I start this blog post, I'm remembering the last job I went to measure down near the Jersey Shore. The poor homeowner hired what she believed to be a competent carpenter. He "installed" all the posts, handrails, and iron balusters, but this being new construction when the inspector came in he gave her a big fail sticker. Now I have to undo everything he did and start over. The only parts we can salvage are the iron balusters. So here's a partial list of what he did wrong.
1. He set the posts too high and secured them to the floor with trim screws....result: very weak, very crooked newel posts.
2. He then cut the nosing in but didn't secure it to the sub floor correctly...result:very loose nosing that the balusters have to sit in.
3. He used wrong measurements for the baluster spacing....result: erratic spacing and baluster spaces that are bigger than 4" apart. Very big no no to inspectors.
4. He placed the volute posts too close to the edge of the bullnose tread...result: the balusters can't encircle the newel posts as they're supposed to.
5. He connected the rail fittings together using trim screws instead of rail bolts....result: really ugly rail joints that he didn't chisel or sand at all.
6. He didn't know where to cut the volute upeasing....result: the ugliest volute connection of all time.

I could go on and on but you get the idea. I know I got maybe a little too technical here but I was trying to make a point. Handrail installation is a very technically challenging project and not to be tackled by amateurs or DIY types. That is not to say no one can figure it out. I've seen a handful of jobs done by amateurs over the years that were really good. But that's only about 5 out of the dozens in I've seen in 35 years of life in construction.
With the homeowners permission I'll post some photos once I've started her job.
This job with photos above, however was a job we completed a few months ago in Blue Bell, where we removed the existing painted wood balusters and installed their new powder coated iron balusters in about a day and a half. We had to remove some carpeting and replace it with what we call "false ends" which are basically miniature tread ends that cover up the edge of your existing open stair treads that were covered with carpet and full of staples and not too pretty. So we installed the end caps then installed the iron balusters and they had new carpet installed up to the edge of the end caps and it looks like a new stair for a fraction of the cost of a new stair.

So, if you're in need of a new rail, new stair, or just new wood or iron balusters and you don't know How To Replace Balusters With Iron Balusters and you live in Blue Bell, Ambler, Abington, Jenkintown, Lafayette Hill, Wyndmoor or surrounding towns, be sure to call Ron, your very own local stair and rail professional to schedule your FREE consultation: he can be reached at 215-694-5046 or email him at 45stairman@gmail.com.
