Traditional Oak Stair With Painted Box Newels and Square Balusters Moorestown NJ

This Traditional Oak Stair With Painted Box Newels And Square Balusters In Moorestown NJ really makes all the difference when you walk into this warm and cozy home. I can't even remember what the rail looked like that we ripped out. I just know it was old and ugly.

This took about 3 days to complete. Super nice people. Super accommodating.

I do like the stained trim on the post. That's not standard so when ordering those it usually takes a little longer, but I think it's worth the wait.

It seems everyone is going with the square balusters these days. And I must admit, they do look good.

For this stair, we left the side stringers in place, because they were in really good shape. And we disassembled the old treads and risers and replaced with new. The house was built fairly well, so it made for an easier job for us. When you have to deal with really shoddy original work, that tends to make our work not so fun sometimes.

So, if you're in Mt Laurel, Marlton, Medford, Voorhees, Haddonfield or surrounding towns, and you're wanting to update your old foyer, be sure to give Ron a call at 215-694-5046 or email him at 45stairman@gmail.com for your FREE consultation and you can pick out your own Traditional Oak Stair With Painted Box Newels and Square Balusters like the one here in Moorestown NJ.

Modern White Oak Rail With Box Newels And Square Balusters Ocean City NJ

Here's a great example of a Modern White Oak Hand Rails with Box Newels and Square Balusters in Ocean City NJ. I met these homeowners and they wanted a clean, square, white, shore house look for their staircase.

It takes a lot to build a new house. It takes time, patience, perseverance, focus, toughness, people skills, communication skills, and of course, money always helps. That list of what it takes could go on and on but you get the idea. When building a house decisions need to be made....often. It's best to make them thoughtfully, but relatively quickly, to keep the project moving forward. I've seen it done a million different ways in 40 years, and it's always nice to see it done well. This couple did a good job responding to questions and meeting challenges directly and deciding quickly which way to go once they heard what the options were.

I think the end result turned out really well. And now they and their family get to enjoy all our hard work for the next 40-50 years. the square box newels are really popular right now, as are the square balusters. White oak is also getting more and more popular in general, but for floors and stairs in particular.

Handrails are used every day by everyone living in a particular house. So, they must be up for the challenge of children holding onto them, and teenagers swinging on them, and old folks really leaning, and pulling on them, for 40-50 years, and staying rigid and safe for all that time.

I just did another job for a customer who runs an inner city gym for at risk youth, and he said he couldn't believe the sturdiness of the stairs and rails we installed 18 years ago, given that they were used every day by dozens of teens just about every day.

So, if you want it done right the first time, give me a call at 215-694-5046 and schedule your FREE consultation and you can get your very own White Oak Hand Rails with Box Newels and Square Balusters in Ocean City NJ.....or you can choose any style you like and we'll come install it in whatever surrounding shore town you may live in.

New Construction Shore House Custom Stairs Box Newels and Handrails Ventnor NJ

Pictured is a New Construction Shore House project with Custom Stairs, Box Newels and Handrails in Ventnor NJ. This stair and rail was for a designer/builder in Ventnor who was building her own house. She saw a picture online and said “This is what I want”. So, that’s what she got. Classic look with stained treads and handrail and painted posts and risers and trim. I wish I could show rest of house, because she did a phenomenal job. I must say most, if not all designers are worth their salt when it comes to the wow factor. You can definitely tell when  home has been professionally decorated, versus one that‘s been done by homeowners
Classic Painted Box Newels And Balusters

Stained Hardwood Stairs And Handrails In Custom Ventnor Shore House

6 Bedrooms 7 bathrooms would be the perfect big family home or second home right on the beach in Ventnor. Lots of posts. lots of rails, lots of balusters .Lots of room for the family and friends. A pool out back adds to the fun. Nothing quite like living at the shore. For those who love the sea, surf, sand, boardwalk, fishing, sailing/boating, etc, this is the perfect vacation home or could be your main residence. If you're building a custom home give us a call, preferably before you need us. Meaning, the more notice we have the better. Many builders wait until they need the stairs and then start looking for a solution. Giving us a little more time, always helps. We have to bring in the lumber, work your stair into our shop's schedule, get it built, and get it delivered in a timely manner. All those steps take time. And the more time we have the better. There's nothing worse than getting the call from the frantic builder, who says that "We need stairs tomorrow". Sometimes we have to say "We'd love to help you, but we have customers who are expecting their stairs to be built today, and they called us in a timely manner, and we don't want to keep them waiting because you waited until the last minute to order stairs". We can usually move schedule around a bit and do what we can, but, please call ahead, and give us a little notice. If you're building  your New Construction Shore House or a  customer's dream home and you need Custom Stairs, Box Newels, and Handrails in Ventnor NJ, and surrounding towns like Margate, Longport, Ocean City, Atlantic City, or Brigantine, then give us a call at 215-694-5046, or send an email to 45stairman@gmail.com to schedule your FREE consultation with Ron, who's been solving stair and handrail issues for builders and homeowners for almost 30 years.

Install Wood Handrail Repair Wood Stair in Haddonfield NJ. Well, I must say, this stairway remodel job was a little unusual. The lady of the house informed she had already found the old newel posts she wanted installed, in a vintage woodworking warehouse somewhere in Philadelphia, (I didn't ask where, hush, hush.) She then told me she wanted the octagon balusters and newel posts with the oversized rail on top, that she selected from my favorite suppliers' catalog, to somewhat match the old rail and balusters she wanted installed on her back stair. Her and her lovely family decided, okay SHE decided, to renovate an old Victorian house off main street in Haddonfield, and the old school rails and posts would help keep the Victorian theme going. (Did I mention she works at the school??, no, not the old school, oh never mind... but I digress.) Working with the oversized, (HUGE), heavy, eight sided, walnut post was a bit of a challenge, but we managed to pull it off, much to the delight of said lady. She said she couldn't find anyone who would do the job for her. More than a few stair and rail  contractors stopped by and never came back. She was getting desperate, you could hear it in her voice. How could I say no? So, a few weeks later, her material was delivered and we proceeded with the installation. The upper turning on the balusters adds a nice touch as they stay in perfect line with the rail just above. She wasn't quite done with staining and painting at time of photos, but I had to share these with you. I'll update once everything is painted and stained.  If you're looking for a Handrail Installer to Repair your Wood Stair, or to replace, or Install Wood Handrail in your Haddonfield, Collingswood, or Haddon Heights home for you, don't hesitate to call/text Ron Hartman, your local specialist with 25 years experience with ALL KINDS of stair/rail situations, at 215-694-5046, or email him at 45stairman@gmail.com

Just replaced builder-grade painted balusters with Iron Balusters in Mullica Hill NJ. Customer saw a design she liked somewhere in the internet galaxy, (might have been Pinterest), and asked me if she could have the same. So, we cut out all the old wood, and installed her new iron balusters. Installation took us two days. 200 balusters removed and replaced and secured in place. What a difference the iron makes with the overall look and feel as you walk in her house now. She loves it, and I must say, I agree with her. She opted for the iron shoes top and bottom of each baluster. Not everyone does that. Many pictures you see with Iron Balusters, there are no shoes up top. Just a different look. If you've been considering replacing your old wood balusters with Iron Balusters, give me a call. I do a lot of work in South Jersey, including in and around Mullica Hill, Glassboro, Washington Twp, Turnersville, Deptford, Gloucester Twp, etc.

                                                                       Ugliest

Custom Stairs and Rails in Foxchase neighborhood of Northeast Philadelphia. Maybe the ugliest "BEFORE" stair and rail pictures ever. An apartment building on Rhawn Street had a fire last year, and suffered extensive damage. While they were re-habbing the building, they decided to re-do the stairs and rails like they'd been wanting to do for years, even though this staircase was unaffected by the fire, and they weren't required to replace it. But they're sure glad they did. What a difference. So much safer for the residents, and visitors, and children living there. And so much easier on the eyes. The architect drew up plans, I submitted them downtown and got the permit, the framers came in and re-framed all the well openings, the drywallers immediately followed them, and we delivered the 3 staircases the next day. I had 7 guys helping me that day, we had plenty of muscle, which you surely need with solid oak commercial size stairs. I then strung all the posts, rail, and balusters, and the painters came in right behind us and painted and stained everything. Carpet arrived a few days later, and the residents have their building back, much better than it was new, back in the sixties.

If you're concerned with your apartment complexes' stair and rail issues, or even with your personal home, be sure to call/text, or email Ron in Foxchase for all your Custom Stair and Rail needs.
