Builder Grade Stair with Carpet Removed

We just finished this New Wood Stair With Iron Balusters in Ambler PA. The owner of this home hated his carpeted, big box builder, lumber yard grade stair, and wanted his stair and rail to match his new Brazilian cherry floors. Note the original block top newel posts we replaced with pin top posts so rail can go "over-the-post", which gives you a seamless continuous handrail from top to bottom. We pulled out the old boxed stair and installed the new double open solid Brazilian cherry stair in about 5 hours. We then started installing the upper posts and handrail the same day. The rest  of handrail installation and trim took about a week. Homeowner then had everything stained and painted, and I came back a week later and installed the final trim and iron balusters. So, if you're looking to replace your old, tired, carpeted, painted, worn, unseemly stair, and are in need of a New Wood Stair With (or without) Iron Balusters in Ambler PA (and surrounding areas, Horsham, Blue Bell, Ft Washington),  be sure to give Ron a call to schedule your FREE consultation ($250 value).

Wood Handrail With Iron Balusters Cherry Hill NJ

Double Basket Iron Balusters Every Third Baluster

Two Double Twist Iron Balusters In Between Double Baskets

Twisted Oak Newel Posts Under Continuous Oak Handrail

Wall Mounted Wall Rail Connected To Main Rake Rail Via "S" Fitting

Another All-new Wood Handrail With Iron Balusters in Cherry Hill NJ. This was another rail that was badly done when the house was new, or rail was re-done years earlier, and the homeowners hated it. It was crooked, loose, not up to code, and made the homeowners fearful for their two little ones that will be running up and down those stairs very soon. So, we ripped it out and replaced it with the twisted newel posts, that go nicely with the twisted Iron Balusters they picked out. We installed new trim pieces on side of stair called decorative stair brackets and new molding under the treads, for that finishing touch. This took about three days to install, start to finish. So, if you're in need of that stair and/or handrail update, be sure to give me a call at 215-694-5046, or use email below, to schedule your FREE no-hassle consultation (a $250 value). Besides this home in Cherry Hill, we've just completed jobs in Haddonfield, Moorestown, Gibbsboro, Mt Laurel, Marlton, Medford, and Burlington, to name a few. I was reading a trade journal the other day, and it mentioned that the average stair/rail remodel will add $15,000.00 to the value of the average home. Which got me thinking, maybe I should raise my prices.....hmmm. Well, I haven't raised them yet, so be sure to give me a call soon before my accountant changes my mind. Whether it's a Wood Handrail with Iron Balusters, all wood rail, all-new staircase, or anything in between, we do it all, if it has anything to do with wood stairs or rails.

Iron Balusters near Main Line Philadelphia

Some New Iron Balusters near the Main Line in Philadelphia. This customer loved the look of the oak box newels with the oak handrail and the single diamond/double diamond square hammered iron balusters in oil rubbed bronze finish. She'd been looking for an iron baluster installer for a long time, and couldn't find anyone who could do the work. Luckily she kept looking, and found me. I'm Ron Hartman, and I've been a stair and rail contractor for 25 years. I transformed her foyer to her specifications. She absolutely loved it, and couldn't stop raving about it. I must say, that is nice to hear, when customers can't stop thanking you enough for a job well done. After removing the builder-grade junk rail, I installed the bottom oak plate, the posts, and then the rail. I left for a few days while the hardwood was stained and poly-urethaned, then came back and installed and secured the iron. The new carpet was scheduled to be installed in the next week, or so.

If you're desiring some Iron Balusters for your Main Line home near Philadelphia, and you live in Ardmore, Gladwynne, Havertown, Haverford, Wynnewood, Bryn Mawr, Merion, or surrounding towns, don't hesitate to give me (Ron) a call, text, or email to set up your FREE appointment.

Iron Balusters Huntingdon Valley PA

Here's a nice example of what's possible with Iron Balusters in Huntingdon Valley PA. This customer had just bought this nice house but wanted to "freshen up the place a bit" before she moved in. The builder grade wood balusters "had to go." She wanted to add some elegance to her new house, (not to mention the great added value when selling the property), without breaking the bank. And swapping out the old wood balusters for new iron pieces is a great way to do that. The existing posts and handrail were in good shape and installed well originally, and she liked them, so we kept them in place. We went over several design choices that were possible, given the spaces she was working with, and we, okay, she, came up with this. It's a nice look, not too busy, not too austere, and gives you a nice visual throughout the foyer/hallway area of the house. She went with satin black, which is a good universal color, for most people, especially if you don't know for sure how long you're going to be living in a particular house. Oil rubbed bronze, oil rubbed copper, continue to be very popular color choices as well.

So, if you're tired of your old, wooden balusters, that may be loose, or chipped, or broken, or just not the look you want for your home anymore, give me a call, text, or email. If you live in Huntingdon Valley, or any of the surrounding towns, like Rockledge, or Southampton, or Willow Grove, Dresher, Horsham, Glenside, Abington, Feasterville, or Richboro, I'd love to install your new Iron Balusters for you and give your home that touch of elegance you've been looking for.

Just replaced builder-grade painted balusters with Iron Balusters in Mullica Hill NJ. Customer saw a design she liked somewhere in the internet galaxy, (might have been Pinterest), and asked me if she could have the same. So, we cut out all the old wood, and installed her new iron balusters. Installation took us two days. 200 balusters removed and replaced and secured in place. What a difference the iron makes with the overall look and feel as you walk in her house now. She loves it, and I must say, I agree with her. She opted for the iron shoes top and bottom of each baluster. Not everyone does that. Many pictures you see with Iron Balusters, there are no shoes up top. Just a different look. If you've been considering replacing your old wood balusters with Iron Balusters, give me a call. I do a lot of work in South Jersey, including in and around Mullica Hill, Glassboro, Washington Twp, Turnersville, Deptford, Gloucester Twp, etc.

Iron Balusters Garnet Valley PA

Iron Balusters in Garnet Valley PA. I removed the old contemporary "deck style" railing, and replaced it with this new system. This is over the post style, which is much easier on your hand while walking up and down your stair. It's also easier on the eye; it "flows", unlike the old deck style rail. I used twisted oak posts and twisted iron balusters to match, and some "S" accent balusters to set it off. If your builder messed up and put your deck rail on the inside of your house, give me a call. Let me help you make a great first impression as your friends, family, and visitors walk into your home. You can choose wood or Iron Balusters to go with your new rail in Garnet Valley PA.

Flared Oak Stair Treads and Handrail Haddon Heights

Here's a nice example of Flared Oak Stair Treads and Handrail in Haddon Heights New Jersey. We did this project for a local Builder/Developer/Architect, Watson Development. His customer wanted a little more than the standard L-shape stair that was called for originally. So we gave her a Flared Double-Open Bullnose Starting Step to make her foyer a little more "grand".

It's important to remember, when selecting your Newel Post, and Baluster, and Handrail, style, to consider everything in and around your home that will be affected by that selection. Some customers don't know what to choose, so they ask the builder, he asks me, and then I give the customer some options that would fit their particular house and layout. I think it worked perfectly here, because she loves it, and that's job one.
