We had to start and stop a few times because of other work going on around us, flooring, paint, trim, etc. But, I must say the finished product is beautiful. Most times the stair sections are built in a shop and then transported to site and anchored in place. On this job we had to build each section in place, for multiple reasons, and then install the box posts and rails, and balusters. The heart pine treads and flooring are stunning. Not something you see everyday. And the cherry posts and rails with the white square-top balusters just brings it all together. This house was re-done from top to bottom. Basically an all new house. The railing half-lapped on ceiling, I think is one of the cooler features of this job...and the cherry column to match the box newels was a nice touch as well, if I may say so myself.
