New Hardwood Stairs and Handrails with Wood Balusters In Cherry Hill NJ

All New Hardwood Stairs and Handrails with Traditional Wood Balusters in Cherry Hill NJ. This was a project the homeowner had wanted to do since the day she moved in......20 YEARS ago. So she had a file that she'd been collecting for 20 YEARS. I've had some customers who had decent sized folders for research on design ideas, colors, post and baluster styles, etc, but nobody came close to her file size. It was fantastic. I've never met a homeowner who knew more about stairs and rails than her....in 30 years of doing this. She knew every part of that stairwell....stringers, returns, risers, nosings, volutes, and on and on. I don't expect anyone to know anything about my profession. Because so few actually do. So when you run into anyone, let alone a customer who knows the lingo, it's almost shocking. But she was great. She knew what she wanted, communicated that to us and basically gave us the house to let us do our thing. She could not be more happy. Her mother or mother-in-law was staying with them for a few days and made us some banana bread which was fantastic. That's a pretty rare treat, old school baking as a bonus.

That being said, just because you may not know anything about stair and rail terminology, don't let that stop you from calling. You don't have to have a dozen folders of research on stairs and rails. When you take your car to the dealer, you don't have to know everything the mechanic knows. And you don't have to wait 20 YEARS. I'm available this year. Now is the time. Cape Diem! and you know the rest.

Take advantage of our 30 years of experience doing this every day. Your stair and handrail issues can be taken care of  in a very short time. This isn't a 6 month long project. It's usually a 6 days long project. give or take a few days.

So, whether you're in Bucks, Montgomery, Burlington, or Camden counties, and live in towns like
Moorestown, Haddonfield, Marlton, Mt Laurel, Medford, etc, be sure to give Ron a call at 215-694-5046 and schedule your FREE CONSULTATION and you can have your very own New Hardwood Stairs and Handrails with Wood Balusters like the job we we did here in Cherry Hill NJ.

Iron Balusters Huntingdon Valley PA

Here's a nice example of what's possible with Iron Balusters in Huntingdon Valley PA. This customer had just bought this nice house but wanted to "freshen up the place a bit" before she moved in. The builder grade wood balusters "had to go." She wanted to add some elegance to her new house, (not to mention the great added value when selling the property), without breaking the bank. And swapping out the old wood balusters for new iron pieces is a great way to do that. The existing posts and handrail were in good shape and installed well originally, and she liked them, so we kept them in place. We went over several design choices that were possible, given the spaces she was working with, and we, okay, she, came up with this. It's a nice look, not too busy, not too austere, and gives you a nice visual throughout the foyer/hallway area of the house. She went with satin black, which is a good universal color, for most people, especially if you don't know for sure how long you're going to be living in a particular house. Oil rubbed bronze, oil rubbed copper, continue to be very popular color choices as well.

So, if you're tired of your old, wooden balusters, that may be loose, or chipped, or broken, or just not the look you want for your home anymore, give me a call, text, or email. If you live in Huntingdon Valley, or any of the surrounding towns, like Rockledge, or Southampton, or Willow Grove, Dresher, Horsham, Glenside, Abington, Feasterville, or Richboro, I'd love to install your new Iron Balusters for you and give your home that touch of elegance you've been looking for.

Stairway Renovation Villanova PA, New Stair and Rail

Stairway Renovation in Villanova Pa. We removed original staircase, and rail, and balusters. Owner wanted foyer opened up to 3rd floor, so we built him a new 17 rise, straight-run staircase over top of the replacement "scissor stair" from 1st to 2nd floor. We used Oak Handrail, the 6800 Charleston from Carolinastair. Newel posts are 1600 series with matching 5015 balusters. Lots of white contrasts nicely with the dark stain on the treads and handrail. A Bullnose starting step (cut out of photo) with volute (the round rail at bottom) added a nice finishing touch to design. For all your Stairway Renovation projects in Villanova PA, and surrounding towns, let us transform your entrance into a Grand Entrance.

Maple Victorian Newel Post and Rail Installed in Medford NJ

Here's a nice example of a Maple Victorian Box Newel Post and Handrail to match the Maple floor and Staircase. The Balusters are 1 1/2" sq. at base, the box newel is 6 1/4" sq. at base. Each Rail part has a style number assigned to it by its' respective manufacturer. This customer went with the 5715 Balusters and the 4091FL(uted) starting Post, and the 4075FL(uted) Posts for upstairs. The 4075 Newel Post is 3 1/2" sq. We used the 6900 series Raleigh Jr Handrail, which is 2 3/8" high and 2 5/8" wide. I like the combination, it gives a very classic look, which fit the house well. Customer has grandchildren visiting often, and wanted something very sturdy. Everything we do is very sturdy and solid, but nothing is more sturdy and solid than a big, 6" box newel.
Whatever your situation is, chances are I've seen it before, sometimes dozens of times, sometimes hundreds of times, in the course of 20 years. I love ripping out old junky Rails. Especially the ones that were obviously done by someone who had no idea what they were doing, and they're on the verge of falling down, and literally falling apart. I've seen people use multiple neckties tied from one Baluster to another to keep their children from crawling or falling through the gaps in the Railing. I wish I took 20 years of videos just for moments like that. Kind of funny and kind've not. I've seen some really unsafe situations. If you have an unsafe stair or Rail situation, don't hesitate to call me at 215-694-5046 and schedule your free consultation.

New Staircase in Beagle Club Voorhees NJ Replace Old Seventies-Style Stair

Replace your Old Seventies-Style Stair and Rail with New Oak Staircase Done Right...The way it should have been done in the first place. If you're tired of your Old, Rickety, Weak and Wobbly, Creaky, Outdated, or just plain Ugly Stair and Rail, Replace it with this. Custom fit to your home. I'll personally come out to your house and take exact measurements of your foyer, and come back in one, two, or three weeks with your completed stair, (depending upon conditions at your house and materials desired), pull out your old stair and rail, and install your brand new, solid, quiet Staircase, often by noontime. (Usually less than 4 hours to install). We then start on installing your new Handrail (the Posts, Rail and Balusters (Wood or Iron) that you picked out from catalog, website or live samples) at our first meeting. This particular job went extremely well. We started @ 8:00AM and were done stair install by 11. Most customers are overjoyed just seeing their Brady-Bunch stair being removed. Then the new one goes in and you hear,"What a difference", and "I've been wanting to do this for so long", "Oh it's so beautiful, I love it", and on and on, you know how it goes. Rail Install took another 2 days after that.

Here are some before and after photos of upper landing rails.
