Here's a great example of Custom Stairs and Rails and Iron Panels and Balusters designed to show the true beauty of the circular staircase, installed by professional Installers in Evesham NJ. With 30 years of experience in the field, we can tackle your most challenging jobs. If you can dream it, we can create it.

The homeowner here had replaced all her trim with stained hickory years earlier, and wanted the stairs and rails to match. She searched online and found me, (she typed in something like "best stair guy on the planet" or something like that lol)...we met with her and her husband, and showed her some options, and this is what she decided on. She saw a job we had done earlier, and said "that's it, that's what I want!" I love when a customer is certain about what they want. It makes my job much easier. Some folks want me to make the decision for them, and I will, but, it just takes the pressure off me if they are decisive, and have done some homework prior to meeting with me.

Note: If you're not as decisive, that's ok, we'll help you narrow down the options to what best suits your foyer, personal taste, style and budget.

To me the more educated the consumer is about stairs and rails, the better....

That is not to say, you must research for years before calling me, I'm just saying, it's better if you did at least 1 or 2 searches on Google images, or Pinterest, or someplace like that, before our appointment to get acquainted with what some of the possibilities are for your foyer/staircase.

By the way these are Tuscan Iron Panels in satin black with straight bars in between. This job took about a week to complete. And this particular job came in at under $20K. A bargain for the quality of materials, amount of work and expertise involved. (When house was built, the builder would have charged $35K for the same thing but with half the quality.)

And I think you get a lot of bang for the buck. I always say, "You're making your foyer look like a million bucks for less than $20K!!"

So, if you're anywhere near Evesham NJ and surrounding towns, and you want your very own Custom Stairs and Rails and Iron Panels and Iron Balusters professionally designed and installed by artisan Installers, then be sure to send Ron an email at 45stairman@gmail.com or call him direct at 215-694-5046 to book your FREE CONSULTATION.

Stairway Renovation Villanova PA, New Stair and Rail

Stairway Renovation in Villanova Pa. We removed original staircase, and rail, and balusters. Owner wanted foyer opened up to 3rd floor, so we built him a new 17 rise, straight-run staircase over top of the replacement "scissor stair" from 1st to 2nd floor. We used Oak Handrail, the 6800 Charleston from Carolinastair. Newel posts are 1600 series with matching 5015 balusters. Lots of white contrasts nicely with the dark stain on the treads and handrail. A Bullnose starting step (cut out of photo) with volute (the round rail at bottom) added a nice finishing touch to design. For all your Stairway Renovation projects in Villanova PA, and surrounding towns, let us transform your entrance into a Grand Entrance.

Flared Oak Stair Treads and Handrail Haddon Heights

Here's a nice example of Flared Oak Stair Treads and Handrail in Haddon Heights New Jersey. We did this project for a local Builder/Developer/Architect, Watson Development. His customer wanted a little more than the standard L-shape stair that was called for originally. So we gave her a Flared Double-Open Bullnose Starting Step to make her foyer a little more "grand".

It's important to remember, when selecting your Newel Post, and Baluster, and Handrail, style, to consider everything in and around your home that will be affected by that selection. Some customers don't know what to choose, so they ask the builder, he asks me, and then I give the customer some options that would fit their particular house and layout. I think it worked perfectly here, because she loves it, and that's job one.

If you're in need of a New Staircase, or just Stair Treads or New Handrail, or just want to Replace your Old Wooden Balusters with Iron Balusters, call me direct today @

New Staircase in Beagle Club Voorhees NJ Replace Old Seventies-Style Stair

Replace your Old Seventies-Style Stair and Rail with New Oak Staircase Done Right...The way it should have been done in the first place. If you're tired of your Old, Rickety, Weak and Wobbly, Creaky, Outdated, or just plain Ugly Stair and Rail, Replace it with this. Custom fit to your home. I'll personally come out to your house and take exact measurements of your foyer, and come back in one, two, or three weeks with your completed stair, (depending upon conditions at your house and materials desired), pull out your old stair and rail, and install your brand new, solid, quiet Staircase, often by noontime. (Usually less than 4 hours to install). We then start on installing your new Handrail (the Posts, Rail and Balusters (Wood or Iron) that you picked out from catalog, website or live samples) at our first meeting. This particular job went extremely well. We started @ 8:00AM and were done stair install by 11. Most customers are overjoyed just seeing their Brady-Bunch stair being removed. Then the new one goes in and you hear,"What a difference", and "I've been wanting to do this for so long", "Oh it's so beautiful, I love it", and on and on, you know how it goes. Rail Install took another 2 days after that.

Here are some before and after photos of upper landing rails.

Oak Flared Stair and Rail with Iron Balusters Voorhees NJ

Here is another example of a double open Oak Flared Stair and Rail with Iron Balusters in Voorhees NJ. The balcony rail has a radius (bump out in stairman terms). The iron baluster pattern homeowner chose is the 2 brass basket, and 2 straights as I hope you can see in pictures. If you have any stair and rail layout issues or questions feel free to call. The earlier the better. I've been called for help with many stair and rail projects. My advice is always the same. Don't wait too long to call. I like to know about schedule, and selections, and layout issues, if there are any before it's too late to change something that should be changed (to end up with the best case scenario for each foyer). Stair and rail stained with mahogany stain. Rail is "Charleston". Newel posts are 4410 "Carolina" style. All part #'s from www.carolinastair.com, my favorite supplier. I like Carolina Stair because their products are consistent. Some stair/rail manufacturers stair parts are very inconsistent in size, profile, grain, etc. For the iron balusters with brass baskets, I use www.houseofforgings.net. They're quick, and have a large selection on hand, ready to ship.
Time frame for install: 1 man roughly 5-7 days, depending on the 500 factors affecting each days' production.

Remodel Stair and Rail in South Jersey

Here's a stair and rail remodel job we recently completed in Haddon Township, New Jersey. We used 6900 series handrail. The posts are the 4410R, and the 4442R series, the treads and stair cap (the wide chute board the balusters sit in) all done in maple, with iron balusters, to complete the dramatic transformation.
All rail material numbers above from my favorite supplier, http://www.carolinastair.com/
